The Sun provides warmth and light to all it's planets, but only Earth is able to support Life. |

Plants
convert the sun's energy to food and store it as wood or tissue. Plants
use light, Carbon Dioxide, and nutrients as fuel, and produce Oxygen as
a waste by-product. Without plants there would be no Oxygen for the animals
on Earth. Animals get warmth from the sun and energy from the food we eat, and oxygen fuels our blood. Animals use Oxygen, other animals, and plants as fuel, and produce Carbon Dioxide as a waste product. This symbiotic relationship between plants and animals helps keep the various gases on our Planet in balance. James Lovelock further explains the relationship in his Gaia theory. |
